What do you think is the most useless item in Minecraft? How about the most useless mob?
Here is my opinion on some items and mobs in Minecraft:
- cauldron - total waste of iron, not efficient.
- gravel - it crushes you and gets in the way, it looks ugly, only good thing is flints.
- flints - not very many uses, arrows and lighters.
- lilly pads - completely useless in crafting. Only good thing is they make crossing water easier if you have tons of them. they glitch boats up a lot.
- boats. basic useless as they are glitchy as hell and they spontaneously break whenever they want. Client and server highly disagree on their proper placement in the water.
- diamond hoe - unless you plan on playing farmville then this is a waste of diamond.
- dead bush/fern - completely useless, other then a lousy decoration they don't do anything other then causing FPS drops.
- tall grass - another FPS dropper, it does give seeds though so it has a good side. I liked it better when you could use a hoe on the grass blocks to get seeds.
- vines - FPS dropper and really annoying and glitchy for climbing. Again another lousy decoration.
- trapped chest - kinda pointless as people can easily see the red colour around the lock and know it might be rigged. If there was diamonds and gold ingots in it, I would risk a few hearts of damage to get them.
Beacon - requires a nether star which you risk destroying everything just to get. Its affects can be more easily gotten via potions and enchantments. Requires TONS of diamond, emerald gold or iron to make the pyramid and to power it.
Rotten flesh - it fills a tiny bit of hunger and then makes you even more hungry, screw it, the wolf can have it.
Heads - The whither head is the only one that can be collected in survival, the others are just lousy decorations that can't be obtained in survival. They require commands, mods or creative mode.
Mobs:
Bat - The most useless mob ever added, all it does is fly around and be annoying. Should drop an item of some kind.
The Wither - all it does is wreck stuff and all for what? a nether star so you can make a beacon... which isn't really all that it was cracked up to be.
Sheep - once you have a bed they are kinda useless unless you are planning on making a massive pixel art.
Skeletons - good for armour and weapons, not to mention bones and arrows. The crappy part is fighting them, it seems like 8 out of every 10 of them have an enchanted bow and if they don't the knockback that have is stupid! they are using bows, not miniguns!
